About Adriatic
Adriatic Sea is a part of the Mediterranean Sea. On its western side there is the Apeninian Peninsula with Italy and on the eastern there is the Balkan Peninsula with its Adriatic coast devided between Slovenia Croatia Bosnia and Hercegovina, Montenegro, Albania and Greece.
The sea itself is rightfully considered to be very beatutiful on its eastern side because it is very clean, clear and profoundly blue. The eastern side of the Adriatic is mostly rocky and very diverse with thousands of islands, chanals, bays, peninsulars etc. On the contrary the Italian side is low, sandy, muddy and also much more poluted by the Italian heavy industry and intensive agriculture.
The Adriatic basin is a cradle of European and though all western civilization with Fenecian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine and later cultures still evident nowadays.
